Assist in development and optimization of area meetinghouse designs, including drawings, technical specifications, design guidelines, project adaptation guidelines, quality assessment (QA) documents, site and floor plans and baseline costs.
Play a key role in the development, implementation and support of area specific solutions including smart technology and sustainable design, development, and construction.
Works with area workforce to identify training needs and assist in developing a training plan for field personnel, project managers and external consultants, contractors, and architects.
Provides detail-oriented feedback through quality assessment (QA), Annual Plan reviews, capacity and use validations, and field visits.
Assist in establishing a well-defined scope of work, schedules, budgets, and other expectations.
Assures that all project requirements are achieved by performing an objective analysis, conducting effective meetings with the project team and management, and providing regular progress reports.
Find ways to increase quality of customer service.
Continued professional development by attending seminars and being active in professional architectural societies.
Requirements
Strong commitment to the mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
Relevant experience of 7 years practicing architecture, construction, or project management.
Requires a professional license.
Commitment to research and analysis of systems, products and services that benefit project outcomes.
Ability to lead and direct design teams, oversee development and review of design and construction drawings and documents for a variety of moderately complex projects.
Ability to understand and follow project programs and evaluate the performance of project teams.
Ability to communicate effectively in English with ecclesiastical leaders, contractors, management, and field personnel in both verbal and written format mandatory; other European language skills may be considered an advantage.
Excellent training and presentation skills, including knowledge and proficiency in Office, Auto CAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and other related software.
