Maintain an effective and efficient credit control system to support business cash flow.
Assess customer creditworthiness using credit rating agencies and determine appropriate credit limits.
Monitor customer accounts to ensure payments are received within agreed credit terms.
Proactively chase overdue payments through telephone, email, and written communication.
Investigate and resolve internal and external queries relating to invoices and payments.
Liaise with department managers to provide updates on outstanding debts and reasons for non-payment.
Escalate high-risk or overdue accounts where necessary and recommend appropriate action.
Provide clear, accurate financial information and analysis to non-finance colleagues.
Support the wider accounts team and provide cover when required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts and credit control activities.
Contribute to a well-organised, compliant, and safe working environment.
