Maintain a positive, world-class safety culture within the company and Sub-Contractors.
Implement Corporate Safety Policy and procedures for the company, including but not limited to: Site Specific Health and Safety Plan, Project Site Observations reports, Incident Investigation, Training and means and methods geared towards continuous improvement.
Ability to assess Safety needs pre-mobilization.
Manage Safety on-site for multiple projects.
Ability to work independently on-site.
Act as safety liaison for the company with Sub-Contractors.
Visit sites, develop rapport with Project Manager, Construction Managers, Subcontractors and self-perform crews, determine gaps in understanding and implementation of safety expectations, conduct audits and provide feedback.
Understand and be able to express the business case for having an effective EHS Program.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or experience may be substituted.
Ability to work independently lead a project and contribute to a team.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to independently set up, ascend, and descend ladder, stair tower, etc. to access rooftop work, must be comfortable working on a rooftop.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to speak in front of groups.
Experience conducting training.
Proficient in health and safety processes and best practices.
Evaluate the probable physical hazards and take essential steps to minimize them.
Ability to remain current with changes in laws and regulations.
