Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for the TrueNAS product line, ensuring it aligns with the company's vision and market demands
Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer service, to define and deliver high-quality products that provide competitive advantages and drive revenue while meeting customer needs and strategic business objectives
Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to gather product feedback and identify new opportunities for innovation and growth
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements to inform product development and positioning
Collaborate with the engineering team to scope and prioritize product roadmaps, based on customer needs, market trends, and business priorities
Work closely with the marketing team to develop go-to-market strategies, product positioning, pricing, and messaging that resonate with target audiences
Oversee the product lifecycle management process from concept to phase-out
Drive the product team to achieve high performance and develop a strong product culture within the organization
Represent the company and the TrueNAS product line at industry events, conferences, and media engagements
Provide executive-level reporting on the product line's performance, market feedback, and strategic initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus
Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing product lines related to storage solutions or enterprise software
Proven track record of developing and launching successful products in the storage or related high-technology sectors
Deep understanding of data storage software/hardware technology and market, as well as other adjacent infrastructure technologies
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
Strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to make data-driven decisions
Strong business acumen and the ability to forge strong relationships with business partners and customers
