Assist with underwriting and structuring NMTC transactions ensuring compliance with tax code and executed allocation agreements
Review community benefits agreements and plans for implementation
Review loan closing documents and reporting requirements to incorporate into the Compliance and Asset Management system
Prepare annual CDE compliance reports to the U.S. Treasury Department’s CDFI Fund via the AMIS reporting system
Monitor CDE compliance with NMTC Program and Allocation Agreement including performing Sub-All and Redemption testing
Collect and analyze QALICB certifications and community impact information
Collect quarterly project level financial statements and compliance reports and perform financial and compliance analysis of information
Maintain quarterly risk ratings for assigned portfolio
Post-closing, communication with borrowers, lenders, and investors
Other job-related functions as assigned
Requirements
BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
4+ years of experience in community development finance, structured finance, or commercial loans strongly preferred
Knowledge of tax credit financing with specific experience with NMTC required, with specific experience with CDFI Fund’s AMIS reporting strongly preferred
Experience in working with CDEs, lenders, investors
Proficiency in Excel
Strong sense of urgency and shared sense of mission
