Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end and year-end close, and financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial statements and internal reporting.
Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in partnership with leadership.
Strengthen internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Act as a key business partner, providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Lead and manage external audits, ensuring readiness and timely completion.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency across accounting operations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, FP&A, and other departments to align financial goals.
Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proven experience leading and developing teams, with strong interpersonal and people management skills.
Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, data analysis).
Excellent communication skills in English (advanced proficiency required).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
High level of ownership, initiative, and ability to operate independently.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Senior Living, Real Estate, Hospitality, or Healthcare industries.
Experience with accounting systems such as Yardi or similar ERP platforms.
Experience supporting U.S.-based operations or working in a shared services environment.
