Responsible for processing and correcting payroll transactions for assigned countries.
Support pre-payroll activities and year-end payroll processes.
Review and verify files produced internally or by Global Payroll Vendors (GPV).
Enforce key payroll deadlines and respond to employee and manager inquiries.
Partner with internal stakeholders and the Global Payroll Vendor (GPV) to process payroll and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Review and validate payroll files (e.g., Payroll Reconciliation File, Bank File) and reports authorized for processing.
Assist in resolving input errors from third-party vendors or internal AbbVie stakeholders.
Support Year-End payroll processing activities and notify AbbVie employees about the availability of tax information.
Lead smaller global, regional, and country-specific projects and participate on global project teams.
Some travel may be required.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts, preferably with a concentration in Finance or Accounting.
5–7 years of payroll operations experience.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification.
Working knowledge of Workday and experience integrating it with third-party applications.
Strong customer orientation and a strong work ethic with a desire to exceed expectations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, and to achieve results through collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
