Prepare monthly subsidiary financial statements to be consolidated into Calista Corp financial statements.
Prepare monthly internal required reports.
Review WIPs, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and project ledger to general ledger reconciliations.
Oversee the setup and maintenance of projects including work breakdown structures, billing and revenue formulas, and contract modifications.
Develop and monitor effective internal controls and modify or establish policies and procedures as necessary.
Assist with internal and external audits and reporting requirements for external sources.
Act as liaison for subsidiary internal client requirements and processes.
Mentor new and existing accounting staff.
Assure that duties, responsibilities, and authority of direct reports are clearly defined, effective, and communicated.
Perform training on systems, processes, and accounting principles as needed.
Coordinate account and subsidiary setup and maintenance and mapping to Deltek CostPoint system.
Perform complex analysis.
Keep informed of changes in accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Perform complex research.
Act within scope of authority and consistent with corporate objectives, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in accounting.
Minimum of four years’ recent supervisory experience.
Experience with accounting for construction preferred.
Ability to pass a drug, background, reference, and credit check.
