Provide timely, clinically sound intake, assessment, and counselling services to referred clients.
Collaborate with clients, families, and referral agents to clarify goals and create actionable care plans.
Deliver short-to-medium-term therapeutic interventions (approx. 6 sessions) with a strong emphasis on solution-focused, trauma-informed, and culturally relevant approaches.
Offer services in Spanish, where appropriate, and maintain a culturally responsive practice.
Act as a case manager—connecting families to community resources and advocating for their access to necessary supports.
Conduct ongoing risk assessments and safety planning as needed.
Maintain communication with referral agents while upholding confidentiality standards.
Participate in clinical supervision and peer consultation.
Respond to inquiries and manage client-related communications in a timely and professional manner.
Complete all required documentation and case closures promptly.
Follow TELUS Health’s protocols for case scheduling, confidentiality, and clinical recordkeeping.
Meet expectations for case volume, client engagement, and service delivery metrics.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or a related discipline.
Registration in good standing with: Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), or College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting youth facing justice involvement, mental health challenges, or complex trauma.
Demonstrated experience working with mandated clients and understanding the youth justice system.
Proficiency with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and trauma-informed practices.
