Role Overview
- The Traveling Heavy Civil/Mission Critical Project Engineer/QC or Field Engineer is responsible for managing the field logistics and updating company project managers and contractors to ensure the mission critical projects comply with all engineering standards, codes and specifications.
- Works with Project Managers and Superintendents to provide direction and support in managing operations, overseeing the logistics of the job, generating reports for division leaders.
- Prepares, reviews, and approves supplier purchase orders.
- Understands owner contract and subcontract documents to understand the inclusions/exclusions for invoice payment.
- Identifies out of scope work for change orders.
- Schedule and lead private utility meetings and document conversations.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field;
- 1-3 years of estimating and managing projects experience in related scope of work, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience using construction software is a plus.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret project plans and specifications.
