Role Overview
The Traveling Heavy Civil/Mission Critical Project Engineer/QC or Field Engineer is responsible for managing the field logistics and updating company project managers and contractors to ensure the mission critical projects comply with all engineering standards, codes and specifications.
Works with Project Managers and Superintendents to provide direction and support in managing operations, overseeing the logistics of the job, generating reports for division leaders.
Prepares, reviews, and approves supplier purchase orders.
Understands owner contract and subcontract documents to understand the inclusions/exclusions for invoice payment.
Identifies out of scope work for change orders.
Schedule and lead private utility meetings and document conversations.
Requirements
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field;
1-3 years of estimating and managing projects experience in related scope of work, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience using construction software is a plus.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret project plans and specifications.
Benefits

Requires 8 to 10-hour workdays, Monday – Friday.
Travel requirement is 80% to mission critical job sites.
