About this role
Role Overview
Lead all campground operations end-to-end — guest services, maintenance, housekeeping, retail, and programming.
Hire, develop, and retain a motivated, high-performing team that reflects the values of the brand.
Drive financial results: manage the operating budget, monitor revenue, control costs, and deliver on NOI targets.
Own the guest experience from first impression to final checkout, resolving concerns and creating memorable moments at every touchpoint.
Maintain the physical property to a high standard — ensuring cleanliness, safety, and a sense of pride in every corner of the campground.
Represent Spacious Skies in the surrounding community, building local relationships that support awareness and growth.
Collaborate with the HQ team on pricing strategies, marketing initiatives, and brand programs.
Serve as the on-call leader for after-hours needs and unexpected situations — responding with calm, judgment, and confidence.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and company-level safety and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, property management, tourism, parks & recreation, or a related guest-services field.
A genuine hospitality instinct — you lead with warmth, handle adversity with grace, and take pride in the details that matter to guests.
Proven ability to manage budgets, track revenue, and make data-informed operational decisions.
Experience hiring, coaching, and developing teams in a dynamic, service-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills — with guests, with your team, and with remote HQ partners.
Comfort with technology, including reservation and POS platforms, Microsoft Office, and basic digital tools.
Willingness to work non-traditional hours during peak seasons, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Valid driver’s license; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
CPO certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
A genuine enthusiasm for the outdoors — you don’t have to be a lifelong camper, but you should love the environment you’re leading in.
Benefits
Competitive base salary with performance-based quarterly bonuses.
Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Basic Life and AD&D Insurance.
Short-Term and long-term disability coverage.
Generous paid time off, floating holidays, and a 401(k) with company match.
On-site housing and utilities provided — a private, pet-friendly residence that makes living where you work genuinely comfortable.
