About this role
Role Overview
- Monitor storage arrays and SAN fabrics; respond to alerts proactively**
- Provision LUNs and file shares (SAN/NAS) and present them to hosts**
- Manage zoning and masking configurations across SAN environments**
- Support capacity planning, tiering, and growth forecasting**
- Perform firmware upgrades and hardware replacements**
- Assist with data migrations and decommissioning of legacy systems**
- Troubleshoot performance issues (latency, contention, queue depth)**
- Manage snapshot and replication processes**
- Support disaster recovery testing and failover validation**
- Maintain accurate documentation, runbooks, and CMDB records**
- Produce weekly KPIs (capacity, incidents, performance hotspots)
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with SAN/NAS platforms (e.g., HPE, Dell EMC, NetApp)**
- Knowledge of SAN fabrics (Cisco/Brocade)**
- Experience with LUN, NFS, SMB provisioning and multipathing**
- Strong troubleshooting skills in storage performance**
- Basic understanding of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware)**
- Strong documentation and change management discipline
