Support the Engineering & Production departments of Sumter Metal Products
Produce high-quality metal fabricated assemblies in an efficient and cost-effective manner
Ensure on-time delivery to customers
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and assembly details for fabrication
Manage or assist in engineering and fabrication of Motive Power trays, layouts, components, and accessories
Provide drafting and CAM support using AutoCad, SolidWorks and Windchill
Manage and create new/revised materials for entry into SAP
Requirements
Two year degree or equivalent certification or 4-years experience in design engineering or design-related engineering proven work history of AutoCad/ Drafting / Solid Works
above average computer skills in Microsoft Office Software
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, check drawing accuracy, use formulas involving area, circumference, and volume
Ability to understand and apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
