About this role
Role Overview
- Maintain and manage the timely delivery of parts to meet agreed customer schedules and specifications
- Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise workflow and reduce waste
- Perform detailed inspections using co‑ordinate measuring machines (CMMs)
- Analyse measurement data in PC‑DMIS to determine part validity and ensure components progress efficiently through manufacturing
- Carry out inspections using traditional hand‑measurement tools
- Record and verify data against aircraft drawings, models, and first article inspection (FAI)
- Produce comprehensive inspection reports to meet legal, regulatory, and quality standards
- Maintain accurate inspection history and traceability within SAP
- Support engineering teams with data and insights for product development
- Raise quality notifications for non‑conforming parts
- Prepare documentation for concessions, deviations, or rework activities
Requirements
- Time served, Experience in aerospace, precision engineering, or a similar high‑integrity manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with CMM equipment and PC‑DMIS software
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem‑solving
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage
