Control and Analysis of Hospital Costs: 1) Monitor direct costs (supplies, materials, medications, labor) and indirect costs (administrative expenses, utilities, maintenance, depreciation). 2) Perform variance analysis between budgeted and actual costs, identifying causes of deviations. 3) Prepare hospital cost reports, detailing the impact of each department and service. 4) Assess the efficiency of hospital processes to identify cost-saving opportunities;
Cost Calculation and Rate Allocation: 1) Define appropriate rate methodologies to correctly allocate costs among hospital cost centers (ICU, emergency department, operating room, inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, laboratories, etc.). 2) Analyze the costs of each medical-hospital procedure and propose adjustments to allocation criteria;
Materials and Medications Management: 1) Analyze the impact of costs related to hospital materials, medications and supplies on hospital operations. 2) Identify waste and propose solutions to improve the use of supplies;
Budgeting and Financial Control: 1) Participate in the preparation of the hospital budget, ensuring that specific costs are aligned with the institution's financial reality. 2) Create and monitor financial indicators, such as cost per patient-day, cost per procedure and average cost per department. 3) Propose strategies to optimize expenditures and improve financial efficiency. 4) Monitor the hospital's financial performance, comparing actual costs with budget forecasts.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (completed) in Administration, Financial Management, Accounting or Economics
Experience with hospital ERPs (Tasy and Mvsoul) and financial analysis tools
Minimum 6 months of experience in Hospital Cost Management
Proficiency in costing methodologies (absorption, variable, ABC)
Advanced Excel
Ability to work in a team, interacting with different areas of the hospital (finance, physicians, management)
