Lead end-to-end process transformation initiatives across Clinical, Regulatory, and Quality functions, focusing on shared service optimization, standardization, and scalability.
Facilitate cross-functional value stream mapping and process redesign workshops to identify inefficiencies, eliminate waste, and create integrated, future-state processes.
Apply Lean Six Sigma and structured problem-solving methodologies to diagnose root causes, implement sustainable improvements, and quantify business value.
Manage large projects or processes with considerable latitude in determining deliverables, with limited oversight from manager.
Coach, review and delegate work to lower-level specialists, acting as a team leader for organizational change initiatives.
Work cross-functionally with Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and others, to drive more effective interactions between various parts of the business and build integrated processes.
Structure organizational needs by documenting clear milestones and driving actions to meet those milestones.
Quickly discern competing needs of stakeholders and negotiate solutions that bring about the best value to Medtronic overall.
Identify how data may be used to identify and/or track opportunities, detect broad trends, and communicate meaningful stories to stakeholders.
Navigate ambiguity and complex, technical processes with limited support from subject-matter experts.
Maintain engagement with senior leaders across the organization through regular communications that bring clarity and momentum on actions needed.
Identify potential programs or opportunities, quantify the possible return on investment, and present proposals to senior leaders.
Support business model innovation as a strategic-thinking advisor and contribute to defining the direction for strategic initiatives, new businesses, and operational plans.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree plus 7+ years of relevant program management experience (advanced degree with 5+ years relevant experience)
Lean Six Sigma certification
2+ years of experience operating at a senior manager level (nice to have)
Preferred background in manufacturing, operations, or other process-intensive environments (nice to have)
Experience applying Lean in regulated or complex domains (e.g., medical device, pharma, healthcare) (nice to have)
Strong experience with value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and structured problem solving (nice to have)
Demonstrated success in organizational transformation initiatives, particularly establishing shared service centers or centers of excellence (nice to have)
Proven track record negotiating and implementing strategic solutions to meet anticipated business needs with predictability (nice to have)
Using project management tools to manage scope, cost, resources, and schedules (nice to have)
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to ask critical questions without being the subject matter expert (nice to have)
Ability to lead, influence, and elevate the performance of team members outside direct line of reporting (nice to have)
Black belt certified (nice to have)
Experience with regulatory or clinical processes and/or requirements (nice to have)
Working knowledge of financial principles, quality systems requirements, and medical device regulations (nice to have)
