About this role

Assist in maintaining and improving our data warehousing systems (AWS DMS, Redshift).
Support the team in monitoring data pipelines, identifying issues, and troubleshooting basic problems.
Write and optimize SQL queries for analytics and data validation.
Collaborate with engineers and analysts to understand data needs and support use cases.
Participate in testing, documentation, and improving reliability of data systems.
Identify and automate repetitive daily manual processes, reducing operational overhead and improving team efficiency.
Learn and explore new tools and technologies in the data ecosystem.

Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
Basic understanding of relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, relational concepts) and no sql databases.
Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, Go, or similar).
Interest in data infrastructure, distributed systems, or backend engineering.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Leveraged AI tools such as Claude to accelerate development workflows, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and enhance productivity.
