About this role
Role Overview
Utilize lean tools to execute the continuous improvement vision across the Aero New Units & Services organization with a focus on reduction of waste, elimination of hand offs and reduction in process cycle time in accordance with the business Lean strategy and road map resulting in cross-functional transformation which delivers consistent, year-over-year results
Drive cultural transformation across the Aero business to ultimately drive zero defect aspirational goal
Use Lean to drive the Leader Standard Work and Kaizen
Work with operational leaders and lean leaders to focus process improvements across the value stream to have the most impact on our business aligned to our strategic goals using the Lean methodologies
Collectively work with Sourcing and GSC organization to effectively deploy our industrialization strategy
Support cross-functional teams in building problem solving capabilities and leading kaizen events to ensure all operations perform in a consistent and best-in-class manner
Support simplification of the complex processes and manage cross-functional relationships to support business impact
Lead the implementation of standard operating rhythms where applicable and provide key output data, metrics and presentations for reporting, operations reviews, and business communications
Work hand in hand with the Aero Lean Leaders in New Units and Services to ensure that process improvements drive the largest impact
Share best practices across poles / functions and act as a conduit to accelerate cross-functional results
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent knowledge/experience or college
10+ years’ experience in ITO or OTR operations with proven track record of results using Lean methodologies
Strong problem-solving skills, experience of managing cross functional projects
Demonstrated ability in solving complex problems and transforming results and process through the application of Lean techniques
Lean practitioner, capable of facilitating kaizen events and coaching the core tools such as Daily Management, structured Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Transactional Process Improvement
Experience of hoshin is a plus
Specific experience in reducing lead time through Lean transformation
Experience driving enterprise-wide transformation preferably in a major turn-around
The ideal candidate has been through complex change and tough situations; bringing a will to win with strong followership
Proven to be effective driving outcomes in large, matrixed organizations – understands how to navigate geographies, cultures, relationships, etc.
Can drive work around the world because they are accountable, trustworthy, credible, committed, and intellectually agile
Change agent, able to make the case for Lean and demonstrate immediate impact
Highly collaborative person, comfortable with conflict and debate normally associated with change
Critical thinker with the ability to bring others along, even those with conflicting priorities
Ability to drive process simplification and influence others with effective communication
