Review and approve information entered into the lease system of record, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with established controls.
Manage and validate lease calculation outputs, ensuring correct classification, measurement and application of IFRS 16 rules.
Investigate and resolve lease‑related operational enquiries in coordination with Lease Administrators, GBS, country finance teams and Property/Legal stakeholders.
Review lease workflows, confirm expected complexity, and ensure correct routing and treatment of lease updates, acquisitions and amendments.
Support Lease Administrators by validating corrections, resolving data discrepancies and providing operational guidance on lease matters.
Monitor and oversee lessor‑specific and lease‑specific tasks such as rate management, ensuring correct inputs and periodic updates.
Support Group Lease Management Accountant on operational lease reporting, ensuring accuracy of data used by Group Accounting, FP&A and other stakeholders.
Review and approve IFRS 16 reporting outputs and support socialisation of results across relevant teams.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities by validating lease‑related inputs and ensuring alignment with operational assumptions.
Collaborate with the Group Lease Management Accountant and Group Lease Junior Management Accountant on reconciliation activities, asset checks and clearance of discrepancies.
Contribute to audit activities by preparing supporting schedules, responding to queries and ensuring documentation is fully maintained.
Identify and implement process improvements to support efficiency, data quality and strengthened internal controls.
Provide guidance, day‑to‑day support and quality oversight to Lease Administrators and act as an escalation point for lease processing matters.
Requirements
Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or relevant experience in a lease accounting role.
Working knowledge of IFRS 16 and practical application within a multi-entity environment.
Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to review data for completeness and accuracy.
Ability to manage and manipulate data using Excel (including pivot tables, lookups and data validation).
Strong problem-solving approach and ability to work independently when required.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality outputs.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across functions and countries.
Experience with lease accounting tools (e.g., BDO Lead) and/or ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion, SAP) is a strong advantage.
Experience working in a multisite, multicurrency or geographically dispersed organisation.
Understanding of upstream lease processes (e.g., Property, Legal, AP).
Experience contributing to process improvements or transformation projects.
