Oversees and is directly involved in all Commercial Lending relationship management and business development activities in Florida.
Works closely with Self-Help Credit Union Area Managers and senior leadership to share and understand goals, strategies, and products.
Focuses on business development to support deployment of Self-Help’s Affordable Housing Loan Fund serving Jacksonville.
Responsible for building and managing a coordinated commercial lending strategy and collaborating with other departments and teams to operationalize new lending initiatives.
Ensures that direct reports receive the appropriate coaching, training, and development.
Responsible for ensuring business development goals are attained.
Develops, maintains, and coordinates all aspects of externally-facing relationships.
Creates business development strategies by analyzing trends and identifying new leads and potential opportunities for growth in our portfolio.
Leads new product development ideation, implementation, and execution in all team asset types.
Works in coordination with risk management teams to analyze market trends and impacts on portfolio risk and pricing.
Participates and supports other team/cross-team business development projects and initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field OR equivalent related experience.
Master’s degree or equivalent related experience preferred.
Seven years lending, investing, or similar financial experience and/or training.
Relationship development, sales, and negotiation skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and supervise employees, as well as operate as a working manager with a hands-on approach.

Strong project management skills, including ability to set priorities and organize competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to present information in an effective manner.
