Managing daily operations in a food manufacturing facility
Ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency
Overseeing staffing, production, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
Reviewing production orders or schedules to ascertain product data
Planning production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products
Preparing operational schedules and coordinating manufacturing activities
Reviewing production and operating reports and resolving operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems
Inspecting machines and equipment
Developing or revising standard operational and working practices
Compiling, storing, and retrieving production data
Resolving worker grievances or submitting to Senior Production Manager or Plant Manager
Filling in on the floor to ensure production timelines and KPIs are achieved
Complying with occupational safety and health standards and food safety regulations.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong understanding of HACCP principles and food safety standards
Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, GMP)
Proven leadership and team management skills
Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement practices
