design, build, and support backend services and integrations that enable Clinical Shared Services technical engineering work across clinical platforms
focus on delivering secure, high-quality, cloud-native microservices and APIs, improving engineering and delivery practices
partner closely with Clinical products, QA, architects, vendors, and production support to meet clinical, operational, and compliance requirements
contribute to modernization initiatives, troubleshooting complex production issues through root-cause analysis
improve automation and delivery practices that increase reliability, reduce risk, and improve time-to-market in a regulated healthcare environment
Requirements
7 to 10+ years of related experience
Demonstrated accountability for delivering outcomes on time, with high quality, and with clear communication to business and IT stakeholders
Ability to understand business drivers and architectural context to align backlog/work to the highest-value outcomes, and to manage cross-team dependencies to reduce timeline/cost risk
Strong problem-solving skills, including defect/issue triage and root-cause analysis in production environments
Strong collaboration and communication skills to influence across cross-functional stakeholders (business, architects, QA, vendors, production support)
Experience building or supporting secure integrations, including certificate management/rotation and secure secrets handling
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery routines (planning, standups, retrospectives, demos)
Experience driving process improvements (engineering best practices, release readiness, quality/security practices)
Proven strength in production oversight, root-cause analysis, and driving resolution of issues, delays, or outages to protect SLAs/availability and business continuity
Experience proactively identifying process improvements and cost-savings through DevSecOps practices and thoughtful adoption of new technology
Experience with CI/CD tooling and automated deployments (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Argo CD, or similar)
Strong engineering fundamentals (coding standards, guidelines, and best practices) and a customer-first mindset in building reliable solutions
Experience designing and building APIs in a microservices architecture
Hands-on cloud experience (GCP, AWS, or Azure), including deploying and operating services in cloud environments
Experience with relational databases and data troubleshooting
