Serve as the primary strategic People Business Partner for the E&E Vancouver Studio, supporting leaders and teams across Plenty of Fish, The League, and Finance.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, coaching on organizational design, team effectiveness, leadership capability, workforce planning, and talent strategy.
Lead talent and performance initiatives in collaboration with our L&D COE
including calibration, development planning, and succession planning for critical roles.
Own standard People processes such as performance management and year-end compensation reviews, partnering closely with leaders to drive fair, data-informed, and strategic decisions.
Handle complex, sensitive matters in partnership with Legal, People Ops, and other key stakeholders; spot risks early and coach leaders to address them.
Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to leaders and employees at all levels, reinforcing Match Group leadership principles, values, and expectations.
Lead all aspects of employee terminations, voluntary and involuntary, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation for high-risk cases.
Lead change management efforts, ensuring people impact, clear communication, and alignment with company principles during periods of growth or transformation.
Serve as an ad hoc in-office point of contact for non-E&E employees by partnering closely with the Match Group Central People team to help ensure a seamless employee experience in the Vancouver office.
Collaborate with People COEs (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Development) to deliver cohesive, high-quality people programs locally.
Own and drive E&E-wide people projects as assigned, partnering with E&E People leadership to scope, execute, and deliver impact at scale.
Use data, employee feedback, and business insights to proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Oversee and support local Canadian benefits administration in partnership with Total Rewards and external vendors.
Own HRIS-related processes (onboarding, offboarding, and core people workflows) to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a strong employee experience.
Requirements
7+ years of progressive HR / People Business Partner experience, ideally supporting tech, product, or high-growth organizations.
Proven track record as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders in complex, fast-moving environments.
Highly skilled in influencing without authority and communicating clearly with executives, managers, and employees.
Deep experience across core People domains, including performance management, talent development, compensation, employee relations, and compliance.
Comfortable navigating both hands-on execution and strategic ownership.
Experience using tools such as Workday, Jira, Monday.com, and CultureAmp.
Balance data-driven decision-making with empathy, sound judgment, and a strong people-first mindset.
