Independently review and evaluate accuracy of credit memos and individual risk ratings on assigned credit memos and/or problem loan memos from a 2nd line perspective.
Prepare written "line sheets" discussing reviews, evaluation and observations.
Communicate regularly with business line management and/or relationship managers, Commercial Credit associates and managers, Credit Officers, Special Assets, etc.
Assist with transaction testing scoping, reporting and data pulls as needed.
Collaborate with Credit Accounting team to confirm impairment reserves for the problem portfolios.
Assist the Department Manager and Team Leaders to develop and execute strategies to provide better insight into portfolio risk.
Prepare written documents and escalate material findings to the Department Manager and/or Team Leaders on an ongoing basis.
Assist with targeted Bank Examinations as required.
Requirements
Minimum seven (7) years previous experience in commercial credit, lending, or finance
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related curriculum, or in lieu of degree, 11 years’ experience required.
Microsoft software including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
Ability to analyze and understand financial data, collateral documentation, and other credit issues.
Strong understanding of credit policies and guidelines.
Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize to complete work within established timeframes.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight from management.
