Delegate responsibilities, knowing how to get the best out of each team member;
Manage the team's technical metrics: review and improve them, and provide visibility into objectives and the status of initiatives/deliverables;
Conduct regular 1:1s and continuous feedback with direct reports, including Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and action plans for improvement;
Collaborate with product stakeholders from discovery through mapping problems and incident solutions, assessing impact and risk;
Track task development, help the team make decisions and document technical decisions, and clarify trade-offs between options;
Advocate for the engineering vision in all product and strategic discussions;
Help monitor platforms and implement tools that provide visibility into issues and opportunities for improvement;
Provide visibility into the team's work: manage, assist in planning, and ensure execution of projects and products;
Recruit and train new software engineers, raising the technical bar and adding diversity to our culture;
Conduct monthly 1-on-1s and track the development and growth of the people you lead;
Empower the team to achieve high levels of productivity, quality, and delivery;
Support the creation of technical and strategic roadmaps for the product;

Solid experience with web software architecture
Experience with messaging systems (preferably RabbitMQ)
Experience with NoSQL databases (preferably MongoDB)
Experience with cloud architecture (Azure or AWS)
Experience with unit testing and integration testing best practices
Advocate for clean, well-written code and maintain high quality standards
Strong background across the entire development lifecycle, from discovery to delivery and maintenance/support
Previous experience working in SaaS technology companies
