About this role
Role Overview
Prepare monthly consolidated GAAP financial statements.
Account for share-based compensation and calculate diluted shares outstanding.
Prepare earnings releases and draft financial statements and disclosures for quarterly and annual SEC filings, specifically Form 10-Q and 10-K.
Manage the review and submission of iXBRL tagging for SEC filings.
Maintain GAAP accounting policies and procedures; research and implement new accounting guidance.
Prepare financial analyses and summaries for management and the board of directors.
Serve as a contact for external auditors; support quarterly reviews and annual audits.
Perform accounting for fixed assets, leases and impairment analysis.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Participate in or lead special projects, as assigned.
Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA strongly preferred
4+ years of related experience [OR] equivalent level of education and experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements and related disclosures
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to research and apply accounting guidance
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with large datasets
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present findings to management
Ability to exercise sound judgment, pay attention to detail and manage multiple priorities.
