About this role
Role Overview
Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and general ledger accuracy.
Process and review bi-weekly payroll, adjustments, and departmental transfers in compliance with company policies and labor laws.
Manage invoice review, coding, and payment processing while resolving vendor discrepancies.
Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and departmental expense reviews.
Review daily audits and prepare timely weekly and monthly financial reports for Corporate.
Maintain cash controls, including deposits, house banks, safes, and the property checkbook.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audits, permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements.
Partner with hotel leadership, Corporate Finance, and HR to support operational and financial objectives.
Requirements
A strong foundation in hotel or hospitality accounting with a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.
Proven experience managing payroll, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows-based applications; experience with hospitality accounting and payroll systems preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of accounting, payroll, or financial administration experience; hospitality experience strongly preferred.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
