Conduct targeted outreach and provide instruction to target groups and individuals.
Build capable learners, confident in their ability to succeed academically and in life.
Support students through posts/announcements, emails, occasional one-on-one virtual meetings, and videos.
Communicate regularly with students regarding their participation and performance, and carrying out outreach efforts to ensure effective instruction and mentoring throughout the course.
Requirements
Deep understanding of and commitment to BYU Pathway Worldwide’s mission, defining characteristics, and student population.
Fluency in English and Portuguese (required).
Adaptability to new processes, procedures, and technologies.
Excellent interpersonal skills: professional, respectful, and unbiased in sensitive situations.
Proven reliability and ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, video conferencing, and discipline-specific software.
Experience with online teaching/learning, especially with at-risk learners (preferred).
Master’s degree or higher in the Portuguese language (Letras) or a related field (e.g. Journalism, Linguistics, Technical Writing) required.
Fluency in the English language.
Professional experience in Online and/or classroom teaching or a closely related field desired.
