As Electrical Engineer for Grid Connection and Protection Engineering (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the complete grid connection work package — from technical feasibility to commissioning.
You will manage distribution system operator (DSO) processes, coordinate tests and produce technical documentation. You will act as a central interface between project management, engineering and DSOs.
Prepare grid connection applications and submit technical data packages
Manage and respond to technical queries from DSOs
Plan and take responsibility for compliance with VDE-AR-N 4105 and VDE-AR-N 4110
Define single-line diagrams, protection concepts, CT specifications and remote telemetry/control systems
Coordinate external partners for protection tests such as FAT and SAT
Maintain schedules for grid-related milestones and manage dependencies and risks
Consolidate approvals, test reports and certificates up to commissioning
Evolve standards, templates and grid connection processes
Requirements
Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification, e.g. master craftsman or technician
Several years of experience with grid connection of energy systems, ideally battery storage or renewable energy projects
Solid knowledge of protection engineering, standards and DSO processes
Confident in reading and producing single-line diagrams and technical specifications
Experience with certification and testing processes including FAT and SAT
Clear and professional communication with DSOs and authorities; German at least C1.
