Reporting to the Supervisor of Mine Hoist Mechanical Engineering Services, you will be part of a highly specialized team.
Independently perform calculations, support the development of mechanical designs, and lead small-to-medium scale projects.
Your work will include developing engineering deliverables, conducting site visits for inspections and data collection, and supporting project coordination across multiple active engagements.
Independently prepares and verifies moderate to complex technical calculations.
Perform and finalize detailed designs and technical drawings, as per applicable codes, regulations and client standards.
Conduct site visits for data collection, lead assessments and provide recommendations for remedial action.
Identifies and pursues new business opportunities.
Manage client communications including regular updates, contract negotiation, and documentation.
Leads small project teams, ensuring project delivery meets scopes, schedules, budget, and quality requirements.
Requirements
4+ years of related experience, though less may be considered.
A degree in mechanical engineering is required.
Registered with PEO, and holds a Professional Engineering License (P.Eng), or equivalent in Canada.
Knowledge of industry best practices, codes, and regulations is required.
Familiarity with Autodesk drafting and design software tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites applications.

Valid Drivers License required.
Valid Passport required, with the ability to travel in North America.
