Direct technicians and EIT’s for production of engineering documents for routine projects accurately and efficiently
Interface with Clients when appropriate alongside Project Managers
Visit construction sites to observe progress and determine general conformance to engineering plans and specifications
Research design criteria, regulations, and standards as they relate to projects and incorporate them into design documents
Mentor others in the proficient use of design software
Review and approve structural designs for quality and code compliance
Provide guidance on complex design issues
Lead design teams, including EIT, technicians, and other licensed engineers on large or complex projects
Manage design effort including planning hours for members of the structural project team
Active involvement in development of EITs and mid-level engineers
Manage project health including fees, schedule and hours for their projects
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architectural engineering
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
Ability to use Revit/BIM
Minimum 15 years of structural building design experience in a consulting role
