Senior Technical Writer

Role Overview

• Document new product features and maintain existing documentation.
• Manage, create, and edit technical documentation, including online help, release notes, and reference guides.
• Respond to customer feedback and questions.
• Communicate with engineering, technical support, product management, and marketing teams on a regular basis.
• Collaborate with other communicators on the Technical Communication team.
• Comply with our different style guides to maintain documentation standards.
• Cover the writing of two or more Flexera products.

Requirements

• Experience working with docs-as-code and GitHub.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a focus on accuracy, quality, and clarity.
• Demonstrable prior experience writing software documentation.
• Solid investigative skills to solicit and gather information to then be able to communicate it with a wider audience.
• A passion for technology, strong attention to detail, and organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience working in end-to-end software development cycles.
• An attitude that is team-oriented and customer-focused.
• Passion for contributing to the overall direction of the next generation of Flexera’s software products.
• Knowledge of latest technical writing trends and practices.
• Knowledge of online help systems and web-based help systems.
• Experience with HTML and XML.
