Define and own the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategy and roadmap, aligning automation capabilities with enterprise infrastructure, network, and platform objectives
Establish automation as a service as a formal product offering for Data Center Infrastructure, Data Center Network, and Remote Network teams
Serve as a thought leader for infrastructure automation, standardization, and cloud-adjacent practices across on-prem and remote environments
Act as product owner for IaC platforms, toolchains, and services, managing backlog, prioritization, and feature delivery based on consumer team needs
Define and maintain service catalogs, APIs, modules, and reusable blueprints that enable self-service provisioning and lifecycle management
Partner with infrastructure and network stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, automated solutions
Lead the design and evolution of automation architectures supporting provisioning, configuration, observability, compliance, and decommissioning
Ensure IaC solutions adhere to secure-by-design, policy-as-code, and compliance-as-code principles
Drive standardization of patterns, modules, and pipelines across infrastructure domains
Lead and develop the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) automation team, setting clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans
Oversee day-to-day operations, including platform reliability, backlog execution, and operational readiness
Establish and monitor SLAs, SLOs, and operational metrics for automation services
Ensure automation supports full infrastructure lifecycle management, including onboarding, scaling, change, and retirement
Integrate observability and telemetry into automated workflows to enable proactive monitoring and remediation
Continuously improve resiliency, scalability, and efficiency of automated platforms
Define and enforce IaC standards, guardrails, and governance models
Partner with security, risk, and compliance teams to embed controls into automated workflows
Ensure change management and auditability are integral to automation processes
Collaborate closely with infrastructure engineering, network engineering, security, platform, and operations teams
Act as an escalation point and trusted advisor on automation-related design and delivery decisions
Influence enterprise roadmaps and architecture forums with automation-driven insights
Build a high-performing team culture focused on engineering excellence, automation-first thinking, and continuous improvement
Mentor engineers on DevOps, IaC best practices, and modern infrastructure engineering techniques
Attract, develop, and retain top automation and infrastructure engineering talent
Evaluate and adopt emerging tools, frameworks, and practices in IaC, configuration management, and infrastructure automation
