Accounting Specialist

Role Overview

• Perform daily cash reconciliation and posting
• Process and support accounts payable activities
• Enter, review, and monitor credit card transactions and employee expense reports
• Prepare and maintain various account reconciliations
• Assist with month end and periodic financial reporting tasks
• Provide direct administrative and accounting support to the Controller
• Communicate professionally with external vendors and internal stakeholders as needed
• Adhere to internal controls, policies, and reporting deadlines
• Support additional accounting projects and duties as assigned

Requirements

• MUST live near-
• Fort Walton Beach, FL
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience) strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting systems; QuickBooks Desktop experience is a strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is strongly preferred.
