Provides tactical support for the day-to-day maintenance of the plant and is the designated owner for assigned systems
Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities
Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence and documentation
Conducts engineering and equipment related investigations with full technical responsibility for planning and coordinating problem resolution
Provides equipment technical support for Operability Determinations and supports review of Operations and Maintenance procedures
Demonstrates ability to analyze and recommend enhancements to business processes and develops standards relevant to area of assignment
Keeps abreast of new developments, technologies procedures and equipment
Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities
Maintains accurate records and files
Coaches and mentors other engineering and non-degreed engineering professionals
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
A Master's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering
4-6 years of engineering experience for Engineer III
Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience, OR 5 years of engineering experience with state registration as a Professional Engineer for Senior Engineer
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering desired
Registration as a Professional Engineer desired
Experience in control systems equipment including analog instrumentation, PLCs, DCS, etc.
Experience with control systems equipment troubleshooting, testing procedures, requirements, methodologies and sequencing.
Experience with process instrumentation troubleshooting, testing procedures, requirements, methodologies and sequencing.
Knowledgeable of fluid processes, instrument measuring technologies, installation practices, etc.
Skilled in engineering theories and principles.
Skilled in the practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing and presenting recommendations.
Experience in electrical power areas: Low, Medium, and/or High Voltage systems and components
Experience in electrical protective relaying and associated components
Ability to achieve Unescorted Access/Security clearance
