About this role
Role Overview
You’ll take ownership of EIC design packages from concept through IFC, including: Electrical & control system design and drafting; Cable tray layouts, power & lighting, grounding, and area layouts; Single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and I/O loop drawings; Control panel layouts, marshalling cabinets, PLC/DCS interfaces; 3D modelling and coordinated layouts (AutoCAD / AutoCAD 3D); Electrical load lists, cable schedules, equipment lists, BOMs; Design calculations (voltage drop, lighting levels, tray fill, heat trace)
Review scope and design quality with a critical, experienced eye
Coordinate across disciplines to keep designs clean and buildable
Catch issues early, ask good questions, and contribute solutions
Support quality control and help set the design bar for the team
Requirements
A Diploma in Electrical Design or Electrical Engineering Technology
Solid experience in electrical + controls design for industrial / energy projects
Strong working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
Confidence using AutoCAD (3D experience is a big plus)
Experience with control systems, instrumentation, and interface points
The ability to manage multiple deliverables without things slipping
