Role Overview
- Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts
- Establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
- Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems
- Develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods
- Assists facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities
- Directly supports execution of the DDG 1000 and DDG 1002 overhaul activities at HII
- Ingalls Shipbuilding
- Coordinates with Operations, Program Office, Supply Chain, and the Navy Customer to drive engineering solutions through to implementation
Requirements
- 5 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field
- 3 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills are preferred including VBA
- Prior US Navy overhaul experience is preferred.
