Regulatory Specialist III

Role Overview

• Responsible for performance of regulatory activities within the Board of Medicine
• Performs assignments that require independent judgment and initiative
• Assists with the coordination of the overall development and finalization of the agenda for Board and Committee meetings
• Attends Board and Committee meetings if necessary
• Assists the Deputy Executive Director with other scheduling as needed
• Reviews licensee agenda materials
• Ensures notification of licensees and other parties is completed in accordance with mandatory timeframes
• Prepares legal notices of meetings and completes legal filing and distribution
• Packs and prepares materials for meetings
• Serves as the Board of Medicine’s ‘Travel Champion’
• Provides suggestions for improving existing processes.

Requirements

• Ability to compile, organize and analyze data
• Ability to investigate, analyze, and resolve complaints
• Ability to understand and apply Florida Statutes, rules, policies and procedures for licensing and regulation of professionals and consumer protection
• Ability to provide consultative assistance to others
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
