Take responsibility for the structural design of existing and newly developed rotor blades, with a strong focus on design for manufacturing.
Perform structural analysis of rotor blades and blade components made of fiber-reinforced composites using analytical and numerical methods such as the Finite Element Method (FEM).
Develop and validate structural concepts for blade components, ensuring compliance with technical, manufacturing, and operational requirements.
Coordinate and align design assumptions, load cases, and technical decisions with stakeholders from operations, manufacturing, project management, service, and logistics.
Prepare technical documentation and analysis reports required for internal reviews and rotor blade certification.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of blade structures, methods, and engineering standards within blade development projects.
Requirements
Engineering degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Master’s-level knowledge of composite materials, finite element methods, or equivalent practical experience.
Three to five years of professional experience in structural engineering, preferably with rotor blades or composite structures.
Solid experience in structural analysis and assessment of fiber-reinforced composite components.
Structured and analytical working style with the ability to document and communicate engineering decisions clearly.
Working proficiency in English; knowledge of German or Spanish is an advantage.
