Role Overview
- Responsible for the overall management, business development, analysis and monitoring of a highly complex book of business
- Work within broad limits of authority on assignments requiring a high degree of technical complexity and coordination
- Develop specialized endorsement language for highly complex risk
- Determine appropriate pricing of complex risks for assigned book of business
- Make recommendations on underwriting policy and pricing strategy
- Analyze quality, quantity, and profitability of highly complex risks underwritten
- Develop and maintain agency and/or broker relationships with large producers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Typically, a minimum of eight years underwriting experience
- Advanced technical expertise, underwriting skill
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Creativity in resolving unique and challenging business problems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software
