Directs the day-to-day operations of the payroll department
Directs management team in managing staffing levels and productivity
Directs and coordinates bi-weekly and calendar year-end processing of payroll including supplemental payrolls, W-2s, tax forms, and all additional required documentation per local and federal regulations
Ensures payroll and tax filings are processed accurately and timely
Partners with Human Resources (HR) to resolve HR and benefit issues related to payroll processing
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, human resources, or a related field is required
Professional payroll or related human resources certification
Demonstrated experience handling multi-state and high-volume payroll processing, including both exempt and non-exempt workforces is required
Demonstrated experience leading a successful team
Experience with tax filings for federal, state, and local agencies
