Execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines.
Deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectations.
Communicate service work timelines and expectations to ensure customer retention.
Maintain quality control hardware and software.
Resolve customer service-related issues while fostering customer relationships and working to solve technical problems on-site.
Deal directly with plant operators, plant management, 3rd party vendors, and other ABB personnel.
Rotational on-call for 24-hour emergency support service requests.
Accurately document work performed for maintenance tasks.
Play an active role in projects such as upgrades and new installations.
Requirements
Associate’s degree and 2+ years of electrical/electronics, instrumentation or process control related experience required; OR HS diploma/GED and 4+ years of related experience required.
Ability to use electrical test equipment such as voltmeters or multi-meters.
Mechanical/Electrical aptitude including; a basic understanding of electrical theory and electrical safety.
Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot electrical systems; ability to diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems up to 240 VAC/870 VDC and perform preventive maintenance using electrical test equipment; ability to identify voltage systems that are above the level 240 VAC/870 VDC.
Comfortable using basic hand tools.
Basic understanding of the paper making process and process control preferred.
Exposure to DCS programming and troubleshooting is beneficial.
Travel up to 15% for training and assisting other sites as needed.
