Role Overview
Support the selection, diligence, onboarding, and ongoing oversight of third-party asset managers
Support and/or lead the due diligence of individual investment opportunities and new investment strategies, including underwriting, documentation review, and committee presentations
Support and/or lead the day-to-day management of the structured asset and real estate portfolio
Support and/or lead the development and implementation of investment and risk management strategies, portfolio optimizations, and portfolio construction
Monitor market developments, conduct in-depth sector and collateral research, and formulate investment views to support the management of the portfolio
Lead the development of quantitative modeling frameworks, portfolio management tools, and the onboarding and integration of new technologies
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to lead strategic initiatives focused on delivering superior investment results and maximizing value creation.
Requirements
6-8 years of progressive experience in investing in public and private structured assets and real estate debt
Experience working with complex transaction structures, reviewing documentation, and evaluating collateral
Excellent modeling and analytical skills, including modeling cashflow waterfalls, collateral pools, and individual assets
Familiarity with insurance investment concepts, insurance regulatory frameworks, and risk-based capital
Advanced Excel skills and prior experience working with Intex and/or Trepp with a focus on modeling
Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline
