Lead, mentor and support a large cadre of experienced engineering managers overseeing teams in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand
Devise and apply communications strategies to align the activities of a global engineering workforce
De-risk proposals through collaborative software design, effort estimation and project planning activities, in-line with go-to-market goals
Champion the creation or refactoring of engineering services and practices that accelerate the delivery of high-quality software releases
Provide a clear, consistent representation of global engineering efforts to stakeholders including peers and the senior leadership team
Cultivate partnerships with other Directors to ensure strategic alignment and rapid resolution of intra-functional issues
Monitor and continuously improve global product team performance
Develop and own the execution of strategic objectives necessary to implement the above responsibilities
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience
Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
10+ years’ experience in software development; or 7+ years managing people in adjacent industry
Superior communication skills; demonstrated ability to lead large, distributed teams
Demonstrated success with prioritization and decision-making implementation
Experience with budgeting, estimating, requirements, and delivery lifecycles
First-hand experience developing software in an agile workflow, including application of continuous integration strategies and iterative delivery
Experience in and across systems engineering, software development, network design, platform integration, or broad expertise across multiple technical disciplines
Experience with software lifecycle management suites such as Gitlab
Experience with computer network operations (CNO)
Experience in business operations
Demonstrated experience in project risk management
