Design, develop and enhance processes and tools (primarily Excel) for underwriters and the Best Practices team
Participate in Group Benefits projects as an underwriting project leader, subject matter expert, designer and/or tester, depending on the individual candidate's interests and qualifications
Recommend to Underwriting Management development and improvement opportunities for the department
Analyze system data and compile summary information for underwriter reference, profit analysis, project inquiries and process audits.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of group underwriting experience
Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
Advanced knowledge in Excel, VBA programming and a willingness to learn other software tools (examples: Tableau, SharePoint Online)
Resourceful at problem solving and continually working to improve job processes and procedures
Proactive
thinking ahead to understand and address internal and external client needs
Works well under pressure by incorporating excellent time management and organizational skills to meet many priorities, often challenging deadlines, and frequent interruptions
Work independently and collaboratively with others as part of a team
Bilingualism (French, English) is required for Quebec only.
