Support the evolution, implementation and educational processes of refereeing technologies — including the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system, the Football Video Support (FVS) solution, and any other current or future officiating technologies — ensuring their effective integration into operational, technical and training frameworks
Support the Refereeing VAR-FVS Project Lead on all strategic, technical, organisational and administrative matters
Provide technical expertise for refereeing projects and strategic initiatives
Attend FIFA tournaments, workshops and refereeing courses as assigned
Prepare, manage and deliver practical training sessions on the field of play
Prepare and deliver theory-based and classroom training sessions
Provide continuous technical support to match officials, instructors and assessors
Contribute to the development of technical guidelines, educational materials and refereeing standards
Requirements
Former FIFA or top division match officials with experience on VAR related matters
1-3 years of experience leading teams
Proven experience in delivering technical training sessions for match officials at international level
Experience working within high‑performance environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Demonstrated ability to analyse refereeing performances and provide structured, constructive feedback
Fluent in English and Spanish
Very good knowledge of Word / PowerPoint / Excel
Ability to prepare high‑quality presentations and technical materials using modern digital tools
Proficiency in managing online learning platforms and digital content for refereeing education
Comfortable working with data‑analysis tools and video‑review systems used in refereeing development
Service-oriented mindset and solution-driven approach to refereeing and operational matters
Reliability, loyalty, and a strong sense of responsibility in all aspects of duty
Teamwork and effective collaboration with colleagues across functions

High organisational skills in preparing and conducting both practical and theoretical training sessions
Willingness to travel up to 3 months per year
Openness to extended periods of international travel and multicultural working contexts
Flexibility to support refereeing operations during weekends, match days and irregular competition schedules
