About this role
Role Overview
Act as the primary interface between the client, engineering teams, Design-Builder, and external agencies
Lead inter-disciplinary integration review of Design-Build deliverables to ensure technical consistency across geotechnical, coastal, structural, and environmental interfaces, provide timely and technically integrated feedback
Provide Senior Technical Review for high-priority deliverables, focusing on constructability, risk mitigation, and adherence to project design intent
Oversee the tracking and verification of environmental and regulatory compliance within technical design packages, ensuring alignment with Project Agreement requirements
Ensure seamless coordination between key technical workstreams to mitigate risks associated with land reclamation and wharf interfaces, set priorities and build team capability
Maintain awareness of project budgets and contracting strategies while supporting document preparation and evaluation
Work closely with the core team in the Project Office and attend in-person meetings and occasional site visits as required
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or other related Engineering; required
P.Eng. designation preferred (or PE with ability to apply for P.Eng. in the near future)
Minimum 15 to 20 years experience in marine civil infrastructure with specialized knowledge in large-scale rock work, dredging, and land reclamation and construction background
Experience with Owner’s Engineer (OE) workflows, specifically in managing the review and acceptance process of Design-Build submittals
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to adapt and delegate in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to effectively relay information and document project activities utilizing the appropriate medium
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (including MS Project) and familiarity with bottom-up cost estimating tools such as HCSS HeavyBid or similar.
