Utilize your accounting and auditing skills to audit county government and other political entities located in the counties listed.
Flexibility with travel and overnight arrangements are essential as travel to audit sites will be required and overnight stays possible for some audits.
Selected applicant will not be able to perform auditing work within the same county they reside.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, or other business-related field, or a minimum of two years’ experience in an accounting and/or audit environment is necessary.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles , generally accepted auditing standards , and Government Auditing Standards.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability and desire to work as part of a team.
Proficiency in Excel and Word.
Valid driver’s license.
Preference given to applicants who demonstrate strong critical thinking skills.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Ability to build effective working relationships.
Strong interest in continued professional development.

$52,000 range; salary is commensurate with education and experience.
