Own and lead the development of key areas of Evertune’s product experience across frontend, backend, and APIs, with a particular focus on UI craft, visual quality, and overall polish
Lead and mentor junior engineers through thoughtful code reviews, pairing, and day-to-day technical guidance
Design, develop, and ship intuitive, high-performance user experiences for cutting-edge AI products
Build and evolve backend services and application logic that power core product workflows
Help create cohesion across multiple product areas into a unified, intuitive user experience
Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering to shape how AI changes UI/UX, and experiment with new ways to make insights clear, actionable, and impactful
Own and evolve frontend architecture, component systems, and code standards, while contributing to broader full stack architecture decisions
Partner with engineering teammates to design clean APIs and ensure seamless integration across the stack
Create clarity and alignment across the engineering team and cross-functional partners
Champion performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and overall product quality across all products
Help grow a team culture that values speed, craft, ownership, and candor
Requirements
Must currently be located in the NYC area and able to work in-office 3x/week
7+ years experience building and shipping production software as a full stack engineer, with deeper strength on the frontend side
Proven ability to lead projects and drive execution in a fast-moving startup environment
Experience mentoring engineers and helping raise the level of the team; prior formal people management is a plus, but not required
Deep expertise with modern JavaScript frameworks
Strong experience building data-rich, intuitive interfaces and thinking creatively about how to make complex information clear and actionable
Experience building backend services and working with Python-based systems or similar
Comfort with cloud platforms (preferably GCP), CI/CD workflows, and performance monitoring
Forward-thinking about how AI is changing product development and UI/UX – whether that’s experimenting with AI-powered interfaces, incorporating LLMs into workflows, or building AI-native products
Must be AI-forward and actively using AI tools / LLMs to increase leverage and engineering efficiency
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional settings with design, product, and business stakeholders
Strong technical judgment and the ability to influence direction without unnecessary process or hierarchy.
