Provide critical and necessary support to nearly all county roadway transportation and maintenance projects
Lead a team of utility coordination professionals
Manage, negotiate/obtain agreements and ensure identification, relocation, and costs for various utilities on each project
Evaluate complex utility designs and ensure that projects are clear of utility infrastructure conflicts prior to construction
Conduct utility construction, contractor, and other permit review and processing along with assigning, directing, and reviewing the work of others
Requirements
Two years of professional pre-registration civil engineering experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Certification as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) may substitute for the experience requirement
A combination of related post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
Successful candidates must currently possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire.
Six years of utility coordination, land surveying experience, construction inspection, construction management, or engineering design
Prior experience with land/property rights, construction standards, traffic control, railroad safety, and design review
